A beautiful rice and lentil dish, with a bit of extra heat from our Hot Curry Spice Paste. This dish will bring colourful flavours to your table. Looking for a milder version? Try it with our Mild Curry Spice Paste instead.

Hot Curry Spice Paste

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 can (540 ml) lentils, rinsed and drained
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp Patak’s® Hot Curry Spice Paste
  • ¼ cup water
  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 2 tbsp fresh coriander, chopped
  • Juice of half a lemon

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Heat the lentils in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Set aside.
  2. Add oil to a skillet and sauté the onions and garlic for 3 to 4 min, until translucent.
  3. Add the Patak’s® Hot Curry Spice Paste, water and simmer for 2 to 3 min.
  4. Add the cooked rice and lentils, then add the coriander and lemon juice, stirring well,
