Chicken Tikka Penne Pasta

A simple twist on an Italian dish! Quick and easy to make and full of aromatic spices. Tikka Masala Curry Paste brings this dish together for a delicious main or side.


  • 4 chicken breasts, diced
  • 1 cup Patak’s® Tikka Masala Spice Paste
  • 4 tbsp olive oil, divided
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ red pepper, diced
  • ½ yellow pepper, diced
  • 1 red onion, diced
  • ¼ cup red wine
  • 1 jar tomato sauce for pasta
  • 1 tbsp basil
  • 3 ½ cups cooked penne
  • 2 cups arugula, chopped
  • 1 tsp chives, chopped
  • 2 tbsp olives, pitted and sliced
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pinch chili flakes
  • Parmesan, grated (garnish)


  1. Marinate the chicken in the Patak’s® Tikka Masala Spice Paste for at least 20 min in the refrigerator.
  2. Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a pan and add the garlic, peppers and onions.
  3. Sauté for 2 min and add the marinated chicken.
  4. Cook for about 5 min or until cooked through.
  5. Add the red wine to deglaze the pan.
  6. Pour the pasta sauce in the pan and add the basil.
  7. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat and let simmer for 5 min.
  8. Toss in the cooked pasta, arugula, chives and olives.
  9. Season with salt and chili flakes. Garnish with Parmesan.
